How Does HST’s Horizontal Testing Machine Meet Strict ASTM E9 Large Specimen Testing Standards?

JINAN, China –  HST GROUP has launched its HST-WAL-1000KN 6m computer-controlled electro-hydraulic horizontal Testing machine, a high-capacity rig built to comply with ASTM E9 and dozens of global material Testing standards for long heavy-duty specimens.

This horizontal Testing machine delivers a maximum load of 1000kN with Class 1 load accuracy (±1%), covering a full 2%–100% full-scale measuring range, fully aligning with ASTM E9’s requirements for tension testing of metallic materials. Its 6000mm maximum tensile space and 500mm cylinder stroke perfectly fit oversized samples including wire ropes, lifting slings, chains, shackles and power fittings, solving the limitation of vertical testers for lengthy workpieces.

Equipped with German ECKERLE high-pressure gear pump and 0.5-class high-precision load sensor, the machine supports three closed-loop control modes: constant stress, uniform deformation and constant displacement. The multi-language test software automatically tracks force, displacement and breaking load, generates real-time stress-strain curves, and enables data re-analysis and report printing, fully satisfying ASTM E9’s strict data recording rules. Hydraulic automatic safety shields and multi-layer overload/position protection guarantee lab operation safety.

Custom interchangeable grips (pin, bolt and winding types) are available for diverse testing scenarios. Global clients from lifting equipment, power transmission and inspection industries have adopted this horizontal testing machine for standardized quality verification.
